I’ve recently noticed there are quite a few baking related subscription boxes popping up on my social media and was thrilled when BakeBox kindly sent me two of their bi-monthly subscription boxes recently to review.
The boxes are beautifully packaged and the contents are wrapped in tissue paper.
Each box has a theme and you receive 6-8 items of bakeware, 1 specialist colour, dust or glitter and an envelope that contains 6 step-by-step recipe cards. You can also join an online community of fellow bakers where you can share all your creations and join bakeclub where you receive bonus recipes and masterclass videos to learn new baking and cake decorating techniques! All this for £14.99 every other month. (The contents are worth £40 at RRP!!)
I received a box with a spots & stripes theme…
….and the other box is called Springtime in Paris
They both contain a couple of items of bakeware including silicone moulds for making madeleines, macarons, polka dot Swiss roll & bundt pan, a selection of cookie cutters, stencils and sugar craft tools, food colouring and a decorative food pen.
I couldn’t wait to use the bundt cake mould to use up some left over chocolate fudge cake batter from this weeks mega baking session for cake orders I have this week!
I filled up the mould alsmost to the top with the cake batter and baked in the oven for about an hour. it’s such a pretty shape! I’m planning to bake a lemon drizzle bundt cake in it next!
I can’t wait to use the silicone mat to make the polka dot Swiss roll and the Madeleine mould has a few baking possibilities that I want to try out!
Also love the Eiffel Tower cookie cutter that I would love to use to decorate a cake!
BakeBox has proved very inspiring and introduced me to new ways to bake and decorate my baking creations. It’s great both for aspiring bakers and expert bakers alike. Head on over to their website where you can find their latest boxes and subscribe.
Happy baking!
