Ok, I know it’s only half way through November, but I just couldn’t wait to do a little Christmas cupcake post and create this cute little sugar Christmas tree.
And now I’ll show you how I made it.
All you need is some sugar flower paste coloured with green food colouring and some different sized star cutters
Cut out two of each size using the star cutters,
then all you need to do is simply layer the stars up starting with the biggest at the bottom and alternating them to create the little branches
They are already starting to make a pretty looking pattern. Keep stacking them up and you’ll end up with a lovely Christmas tree shape
Then to finish off, decorate your little tree with whatever takes your fancy. I made little red sugar baubles and a gold star to pop on the top and finished it all off with a dusting of red and silver edible glitter to add sparkle.
Pop it on top of fondant covered cupcakes and enjoy!
