I’ve had a few things that have made me really happy over the last month or so. Things that are related to my website and my cakes getting a bit more recognition being one of them!
I was contacted by a lovely lady from theatretokens.com back in July, who wanted to showcase my theatre themed wedding cake (shown below) in a campaign they are running for the Society of London Theatre, where you can gift theatre tokens at weddings. Onto another thing that made me really happy, I like to take part in SheWhoBakes #BakersHour on Twitter on Wednesdays, where people can share awesome cakes and bakes! At the end of the weekly chat, Britt from SheWhoBakes, chooses a winner for Baker of the Week, and on the 2nd September, it was me!
I Won it for my train cake I created :o)
Me and my husband also celebrated our first wedding anniversary at the end of August and my Birthday last week. So of course, we had a few meals out over the last couple of weeks.
One of the places we visited for dinner and cocktails was The Alchemist in London, they have the biggest cocktail list I have ever seen!
They have one called The Mad Hatters Tea Party! Sounded right up my street, as it’s served smoking in teacups!
I went for the Flavour Changing One, which started off tasting like apples and raspberries and changed flavour throughout drinking it! Was amazing!
For dinner, they served my chicken in a basket in a chicken basket!
It really made me and my husband laugh, he thought it was ridiculous yet funny that I was trying to figure out how to eat my dinner from a basket.
And for dessert, we enjoyed chocolate fudge cake and salted caramel cheesecake.
Incredibly yummy! I’ll definitely return to The Alchemist to try more of the wonderful cocktails they have to offer!
