Well the Christmas shopping is almost done and whilst out and about there were some AMAZING special offers that I just could not refuse (any excuse to treat myself!!) plus some things were free so how could I decline!
Here are my December favourites:
First up, I’ve been umming and aahing about Yankee Candles for a while and nearly purchased some for Halloween but didn’t, then I saw (a smelled) their Christmas range. They have so many scents for every season/ occasion and after much deliberation, I decided on 3 candles which I purchased in Debenhams, “Snow in Love”, “Christmas Eve” and my favourite “Christmas Cookie” the latter is my favourite as it’s baking related and It’s got me in the mood for Christmas cookie baking and making another Gingerbread house. It smells deliciously sweet with a vanilla scent and it fills my kitchen with a lovely cookie aroma which could possibly trick people into thinking I’m baking when I’m not! If you fancy treating yourself, Debenhams are currently offering 20% off and they also stamp your receipt with a Yankee Candle logo so if you buy so many they give you money off or something free I guess (I’ll have to go and find out!)
Secondly, I popped to the Body Shop to check out their Gingerbread range “Ginger Sparkle”,they have all these cute gingerbread men body washers decorating a Christmas tree in their window, I’m tempted to buy one every time I pass! Anyway I thought it was still baking related and as I purchased a few little bits including a hand wash and hand cream, they look like Christmas baubles….
…and I received 40% off as I have one of their love your body cards AND I received a free Ginger Sparkle gingerbread man tin, worth £17, filled with all sorts of spicy smelling goodies. The scent reminded me of the products in AquaSana Spa at Center Parcs (please take me back there now) as they had a kind of spicy smell.
Here is the tin! I think I may just use it to store cookies in after I’ve used all the products!
Here is what’s inside (smells good enough to eat!)
250ml shower gel, 50ml body butter, 75ml body polish and 25g soap shaped like a little heart :o) I’m going to smell like a gingerbread woman on Christmas Day!!
Talking of tins, I popped into Home Bargains to look at their Christmas range of decorations and such and couldn’t leave without these tins! The largest one was only £2.49 and the 2 smaller ones were £1.25/£1.50. Not bad really and they match all my Christmas decorations colour theme!
They are perfect for taking some home baked treats to my family on Christmas Day in, I’m going to fill them with mince pies and cheese and bacon palmiers. I will share these recipes in some upcoming blogs before Christmas.
Not long now…only 15 more sleeps!!!! x x x
